Any time you hit Record and speak, and only when it reaches our server — on-device dictation is free. Unused credits don't roll over, but they refill at the start of each billing period.
Dictation on your device is free and unmetered, so most speaking costs nothing. When it falls back to our server it comes out of your monthly credits — up to 27 hours on Standard, 55 on Pro and 66 minutes on Free, if you spend your credits on nothing else. Live voice conversation with your editor is coming, and your credits will cover up to 4 hours a month of it on Standard and 8 on Pro.
Yes, forever. The free plan includes voice dictation, the AI editor, chapters, characters, the Story Bible, and exports (EPUB/DOCX/PDF) — no credit card. Paid plans come with a larger pool of monthly credits, so you can write, talk, and generate more.
Images come out of your monthly credits on Standard and Pro — up to 285 or 571 a month if you spend them on nothing else — and power storyboard frames, comic panels and picture-book illustrations. Scene-to-video is coming to Standard and Pro (15 and 31 rendered shots a month); until then you can storyboard, cast and stage every scene in preview frames. Audiobook narration is on Pro with your own ElevenLabs key, and Pro can bring its own image, video or audiobook keys — work on your own key never touches your credits.
