Can I switch plans later?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account page. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

What counts as a voice minute?

Any time you hit Record and speak, and only when it reaches our server — on-device dictation is free. Unused credits don't roll over, but they refill at the start of each billing period.

What are the voice limits on each plan?

Dictation runs free and unmetered on your device, so most speaking costs nothing at all. When it falls back to our server that time comes out of your monthly credits — 27 hours on Standard and 55 on Pro if you spent your credits on nothing else, and 66 minutes on Free. Live voice conversation with your editor is coming: when it lands your credits will cover 4 hours a month on Standard and 8 on Pro. Nothing is reserved bucket by bucket, so nothing blocks anything else.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes, forever. The free plan includes voice dictation, the AI editor, chapters, characters, the Story Bible, and exports (EPUB/DOCX/PDF) — no credit card. Paid plans come with a larger pool of monthly credits, so you can write, talk, and generate more.

How do images, storyboards, comics, audiobook, and video work?

Image generation is included in your monthly credits — enough for 250 images on Standard or 500 on Pro if you spend them all on images — no key required, and it powers storyboard frames, comic panels, and picture-book illustrations wherever your project type supports them. Story-to-video scene rendering is coming soon and included in your plan — it unlocks automatically, with 15 rendered shots a month on Standard and 31 on Pro. Until then you can storyboard every scene, cast and design your characters, and stage the whole film in preview frames. Audiobook narration is Pro, powered by your own ElevenLabs key, generating at full quality billed to your ElevenLabs account. Pro can also bring its own image, video, or audiobook provider keys — work on your own key is free and never touches your credits.
