Can I switch plans later?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account page. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

What counts as a voice minute?

Any time you hit Record and speak. Unused minutes don't roll over, but your allowance resets at the start of each billing period.

What are the voice limits on each plan?

There are two separate buckets, so one never blocks the other. Dictation (speaking your story in) is generous everywhere: it runs free and unmetered on your device, with a server fallback of 30 minutes a month on Free, 10 hours on Standard, and 40 hours on Pro. Live voice conversation with your AI editor (the real-time back-and-forth) is the premium bucket: Free includes a one-time 3-minute taste, Standard includes 2 hours a month, and Pro includes 8 hours a month.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes, forever. The free plan includes voice dictation with a generous monthly allowance, plus the AI editor, chapters, characters, the Story Bible, and exports (EPUB/DOCX/PDF) — no credit card. Paid plans add more AI voice conversation and editing.

How do images, storyboards, comics, audiobook, and video work?

Image generation is included as a monthly allowance — 20 images on Standard, 100 on Pro — no key required, and it powers storyboard frames, comic panels, and picture-book illustrations wherever your project type supports them. Story-to-video scene rendering starts on Standard with 5 rendered shots a month on us, and Pro includes 10 — storyboard a scene, render it, and scrub any moment in the Film timeline to change it. Audiobook narration is Pro, powered by your own ElevenLabs key, generating at full quality billed to your ElevenLabs account. Pro can also bring its own image, video, or audiobook provider keys to go beyond the included allowances.
