Voice & audio
Record your table read and share it
3 min read
A table read in the Listen player performs your work live, line by line. When you want something you can keep, download or send, record it: your whole cast and narrator, in one audio file.
Record it
- Open Read & listen and open the Listen player.
- Tap Make an audio file. You will see the price before anything is recorded.
- Tap Record it. You can close the player while it records; it picks up where it left off.
- When it is done, the player plays the recording: drag along the waveform to any moment, and download the MP3 (on iPhone, Share MP3).
Each character speaks in their own voice. If you change your pages, the player goes back to the live voices and offers Record again, so the recording never drifts from your script.
Share it
Share this story includes your recording by default. Anyone with the link can play it on the story page. If you record again later, the Share panel tells you, and Update the published version puts the new recording on the link.
Who listened, and how far
The Share panel shows how many people listened, how many finished, and how far most got, with the latest listeners listed. Listeners who are signed in show by first name; everyone else shows as A listener. Only time actually played counts, so skipping to the end is not finishing. Listeners see a short note under the player saying you can see this.
Tip. Recording costs credits based on the length of your script, shown before you start. With your own ElevenLabs voices connected on the web, it uses those and costs no credits. Playing and sharing cost nothing.
